In the mid 1990's, I took a job at the arboretum so I could get my hands dirty learning everything I could about gardening, horticulture, and luckily institutional design. While there, I took on several projects to improve the entrance to the Arboretum which at the time was rather barren and neglected. These pictures constitute a before and after effect of various places around the entrance. Also included are pictures of the annual Baldwin Bonanza plant sale fundraiser for the Arboretum's non-profit support organization - The California Arboretum Foundation. I was asked to organize and put on the plant sale two years in a row to much success.
