Plutsky Residence II This charming Spanish style home in Santa Monica recently went through a second expansion and garden renovation. Originally, we had given the exterior a garden facelift with a small fountain and pots on the existing brick terrace. The owners enlarged the family room area again and wanted the exterior to be a welcome retreat for entertaining. In Santa Monica, California, that meant outdoor gas heaters and a barbeque. We added an overhead arbor and seat wall which incorporated the gas heaters along with a barbeque with a Mexican tile backsplash and counter using only yellow and rust colors with a little green. |
| The rear patio still includes the small, three spout fountain with Mexican tiles you see here to add the sound of water to the experience. The small garden patio “Susan’s Garden” continues to thrive from the first renovation. This garden was finished around the first of May 2002 and some new pictures are included of the just completed garden. | |
